Dishonored – PC, PS3, XBOX360
NA Release: Oct. 9, 2012
EU Release: Oct. 12, 2012
Developer: Arkane Studios
Publisher: Bethesda

I’ve been a long-time fan of stealth games, (Metal Gear Solid 2 I’ll never forget you and my old PlayStation) but that’s only part of the reason I’m excited about Dishonored coming out this fall. It has a  complete recipe for win that has kept me excited since I heard about it at the beginning of summer.

First off, the development team from Arkane Studios boasts a team who worked on brilliant titles like Deus Ex, Half-Life 2, Thief, and System Shock. With a pedigree like that, I tend to be instilled with great confidence.

The game made an amazing showing at E3 and has garnered 4 nominations (a tie for the most nominated game) for Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Console Game, Best Original Game, and the overall Best of Show award.

The thing that attracted me to it at first wasn’t the game play or concept, but the setting. Distopian. Victorian. Steampunk. Like I said. Recipe for win. If you’re only going to pick up one or two titles this holiday season this is certainly one you want to keep on your radar.

Check out the trailers below for the story and some great gameplay. Expect a full review from us at TPReview when this comes out. It’ll probably be one of the games we fight over on who gets to do the write-up.
