Call of Duty: Black Ops Three teaser trailer and rumours

Looks like this November’s Call of Duty fix will be returning to the Black Ops series with developers Treyarch. The full teaser trailer is below. We’re a little disappointed to be honest, there had been rumours swirling of a World at War Two which would have been interesting with all the advances made in the engine and multiplayer progression system, but instead we’re getting what we can only assume will be more of the same.

Over at NeoGaf posters have found this image:

The image could definitely be fake but they also found the following text:

“Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3 is the first title for next-gen hardware in the critically acclaimed Black Ops series. Developed by Treyarch, the award-winning creator of the two most-played games in Call of Duty® history. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare. With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever.”

Together they suggest that we’re going to see a combination of Advanced Warfare with the Black Ops franchise. The character in the image definitely seems to be wearing some kind of exo-suit (the gloves and elbow joints in particular look very familiar) and the description sounds like we’ll be heading into another entry where America is on the back foot and you’re struggling for survival.

We were reading a post the other day about how some people are getting annoyed at the fact that in the last few COD games (especially Ghosts and Advanced Warfare) America has been the underdog which doesn’t entirely make sense when you look at the world’s military powers and is a far cry from the early titles where you felt like you were part of a huge war machine when you played the American sections.

Of course it’s far too early to tell much at all about the game so we’ll have to wait for the official reveal in a couple of weeks. We’ll make sure we bring you more news then and any other believable rumours as we hear them.
